What is a rotary parking system?
A rotary parking system is a vertical, circular parking structure where vehicles are parked on pallets arranged around a rotating tower. The system rotates like a Ferris wheel — bringing the required pallet to ground level for entry and exit. It parks multiple cars in the footprint of just two conventional spaces.
How many cars can a rotary parking system hold?
Depending on the model and vehicle type, Vision's systems park anywhere from 8 to 20 cars. There are separate configurations for sedans, tall boys, standard SUVs, and larger SUVs — so capacity varies based on what you're parking.
What space is needed to install a rotary parking system?
The system fits within a compact footprint — approximately 6.3 to 6.5 metres in length and 5 to 5.5 metres in width depending on the model. Height ranges from around 9.8 metres for an 8-car system up to 22 metres for an 18-car configuration. A site check is recommended before finalising the model.
What type of vehicles can use a rotary parking system?
Vision's systems are built for sedans, tall boys, standard SUVs, and larger SUVs. Each model has defined vehicle dimensions — maximum length of 5200mm, width up to 2250mm, and weight capacity up to 2650 kgf depending on the configuration chosen.
Is a rotary parking system safe?
Yes. The system includes multiple built-in safety devices — photo sensors at the front, rear, and both sides of the car entry opening, an over-current relay for motor protection, an emergency stop device, an over-run stopper on each pallet, and a car falling prevention system using double guide rails. These work together to protect both vehicles and users at all times.
Where does this rotary parking system work best?
Anywhere land is tight but parking demand is high — apartments, hotels, offices, malls, showrooms, and airport facilities. If you need to park more cars without expanding the building footprint, a rotary system is worth serious consideration.
How long does it take to retrieve a car from a rotary parking system?
The rotation runs at 5 to 8 metres per minute using inverter-controlled motors. In most cases, your car is at ground level within 1 to 2 minutes from the moment you request it.
